Betty Jean Copeland's Obituary
Betty Copeland went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 6th. Services will be held at 4 PM
On Monday, June 9th, 2003 at Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend John Wallingford, of
Macedonia Baptist Church, officiating. She was
born June 29, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Terrance and Alletta Imes.
She met Forrest Copeland, her husband of 56 years, while attending the University of Missouri. Mrs. Copeland was a welfare caseworker in Joplin,
Missouri, interior decorator, active den mother and Sunday school teacher.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-randmother, she enjoyed painting, playing
the piano and was an avid bridge player, She was known as ?Happy? at the bridge club. She enjoyed life.
She is survived by her husband, Forrest Copeland; two sons: Terry Copeland and wife
Sandy of Plano, Bill Copeland and wife Sharon of Hallsville; five grandchildren: Kim Bobo of Hallsville, Kari Krchnak of Hallsville, Tiffany McNeal of
Longview, Bryan Copeland and Natalie Copeland of Sequin; seven great grandchildren: Madison, MacKenson And Mason Bobo of Hallsville, Taylor and Hailey Krchank of Hallsville, Chase McNeal of Longview and Brayden
Mendoza of Sequin.
Other relatives include sister in laws: Vicki Imes of Houston
and Joan Craig of Kansas City, Mo., nieces, Linda Barnett of
Lake Latawanna, MO and Diane Borden of Kansas City, MO.
The family will receive friends on June 8 between 4 and 6 PM at Rader Funeral Home.
