Betty J. Francis' Obituary
Betty J. Francis age 84 passed away at Margaret's House, Longview August 24, 2012
She was born May 5, 1928 to Everett and Ollie Newman in Chillicothe, Ohio. It was there Betty attended local schools growing up then graduated from high school.
Betty met one, Mervin Francis and then later they were married and for the next 64 years they loved and raised a family together. In the early 90's upon retirement they moved to Texas and eventually made Longview their home.
In her early years she was an artist and painted many acrylic and oil paintings. Her passion was both her beautiful garden of flowers and pet dogs. Betty was also devoted to her Episcopal faith.
Betty is survived by her two children, Deborah J. Early and her husband Stephen of Gilmer, Texas and Randy Francis and his wife Liz of Downers Grove Illinois, she is also survived by four grandchildren, Stephen Early and his wife Sherry, Jeremy Early and his wife Michelle, Jason Francis, Jamie Liedtke and her husband Brian and great-granddaughter, Autumn Liedtke. Betty is also survived by two siblings, Pat Matthews, Don Newman, numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful pet companion, Angel.
Betty is preceded in passing by her loving husband of 64 years, Mervin
Francis, her parents, a sister, sister-in-law, Pat Newman and loving pet Loki.
Upon Betty's request there will be no public services. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 5016 Gilmer Rd, Longview, TX 75608. Her cremation arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
