Betty Childress Strong Johnson's Obituary
Services for Betty Childress Strong Johnson, 51, of White Oak will be 4 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Pastor Jay VanZandt officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. Mrs. Johnson passed away Sunday morning in a local hospital. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Betty was born on June 29, 1956 in Longview, to Donald "Bud" and Patricia Childress. She was a graduate of Spring Hill High School and worked at TBT securities for the past 14 years. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and Granna. She will be remembered most for always lending a helping hand, and going out of her way to help those closest to her.
Betty was preceded in death by her grandparents Woody and Betty Bonner, mother Patricia Childress, and brother David Childress.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Page Johnson of White Oak; her father, Donald "Bud" Childress of Longview; her children, Kerry and Sarah Strong, Darryn and Kelly Strong of Longview; grandchild Brayden Strong of Longview; brothers and sisters Terrie and Tim McDonald of Hallsville, and Kim Childress of White Oak; and numerous nieces and nephews.
