Betty Cates' Obituary
Betty Cates was born on July 23rd, 1933 to Walter and Lillian Beall. On January 22nd, 2013 our heavenly Father decided that he needed a Grandma Betty angel in Heaven and called her home. Betty was a loving and devoted wife. The pride and joy of her life was her grandchildren and great grandkids. They all knew when they came to see Grandma Betty, there were surprises and candy coming to them. Betty is survived by her husband John Cates, sons and wives; Rick and Karen Anderson of Diana, Doug and Donna Anderson of Summit, NY and daughter and husband Sheila and Todd Brown of Longview. Others left to cherish her are stepson and wife John Paul and Gala Cates of Gilmer, stepdaughter and husband Teresa and Andy Erickson, and stepdaughter Denise Threadgill. Still here are 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Brothers and wives, Jimmy and Barbara Beall, Malford and Jodie Beall, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral home of Longview Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. And Graveside funeral service will be at Stewart Cemetery in Henderson Saturday afternoon at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Benevolence Fund at Morton Baptist Church in her honor
