Betty Paschall Bellamy's Obituary
After a brave battle against cancer throughout 2015, Betty Paschall Bellamy's fight ended on the evening of Jan. 6, 2016, surrounded by her family. Rader Funeral Home will host both visitation from 2-4pm, Jan. 10, and services at 1pm, Jan. 11, Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will immediately follow at East Mountain Baptist Church where memorials may be sent.
She was born in Kaufman County on Aug. 10, 1929, to Clyde and Gussie Paschall who preceded her in death. Others to precede were husband, Jack Bellamy; daughter, Betty Jill; and brother, Buck Paschall.
After graduating Mesquite High School, Betty spent her professional career managing businesses in Longview, including a gratifying decade as Dr. Julia Van Burkleo's office administrator.
Betty married Jack on Mar. 6, 1947, and together they raised three fine children who blessed her with two more generations full of love.
Survivors include her two children: Jacqueline Mauldin (husband, Arthur) and James Bellamy (wife, Renita); five grandchildren: Chad Mauldin (wife, April), Jacob Mauldin, Nicholas Bellamy (wife, Alisha), Lance Bellamy and Noah Bellamy (wife, Jessica); sister: Martha Kay Looper (husband, James); 8 great-grandchildren; and 14 nieces and nephews. All look forward to her loving embrace.
