Betty Jane Barrett's Obituary
Betty Jean Barrett was born on Tuesday, May 20, 1930 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Thomas and Clara Caskey. She was the last of seven children to be born. She married in 1950 to Archie Gladwell Barrett on February 15th. They were married over 50 years before his death. She left her son Melvin Caskey, daughter Darlene Walton, son Archie Preston Barrett and wife Cathy, and daughter Donna Williams.
She will be missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, David Justin Tolleson, Sheila Perduym, Jimi Wyatt, Carol Blair, Crystal Bynog, Caroline Hardee, Brandi Ashby, Sarah Walton, Randi Ashby, Jessica Acker, Jenna Walton, Kimberly Thornton, Blake Nichols, Preston Barrett, Jennifer Whiteside, Jillian Whiteside, Spencer Barrett Donald Whiteside Jr., and over 40 great grandchildren.
She enjoyed being around people and making others laugh. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She would give to help others in need and she loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Archie Gladwell Barrett, her daughter Linda Faye Tolleson and grandson Bo Dylan Barrett.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Danville Cemetery in Kilgore beginning at 2 pm with Brother Jake Wommer officiating.
