Bettie Graham Sanford's Obituary
Join in the celebration of the life of Bettie Graham Sanford, born August 18, 1939 in Kerens, Texas. Bettie passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 4, 2016. Visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie E. Miles and Janie Aiken Miles, her four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughter, Debra King and husband, Dennis and daughter Vicki Strickland and husband, Eugene. Her grandson, Matthews King, her sister, Beverly and her loving Yorkie, Sophie.
Bettie began her business career with Spartan Atlantic Department Stores in the Dallas area, where she became one of the company’s first female store managers. After moving to Longview, she started Graham’s Florist, which became one of Longview’s finest floral shops. She brought joy to those who visited her shop and those who received her gifts. Bettie was well respected by friends, business associates and the community.
Family, friends and others shoes lives were touched by Bettie are invited to graveside services at Lakeview Memorial Gardens at 10 am Friday, September 9, 2016. The family expresses their personal thanks for all thoughts and prayers.
