Bette J. Parent passed away June 11, 2018, in Henderson, Texas. She was born February 16, 1923 in Ottumwa, Iowa to the late Otto Eugene LaPoint and Viva Adele Ruthroff. She was also preceded in death by her husband Maynard Parent, her daughter Carol Schneider, her two brothers Phillip and Paul LaPoint, and her sister Ruth Conner. Bette is survived by her children: Alice and Larry Hill, Suzi and Gary Burroughs, and Bruce Schneider; grandchildren: David Schneider, Matt and Kyra Schneider, Jessica and Ethan Dixon, Andrew and Fabia Hill, Jonathan and Hilery Hill, Sarah and Trent Haydel, Aaron Burroughs, Daniel Burroughs, Joanna Burroughs, and Charles Burroughs; great grandchildren: Gabriel Schneider, Ryan Schneider, Andrew Schneider, Asher Dixon, Dex Dixon, Jasper Dixon, Ian Hill, Anna Hill, Simeon Hill, Elisabeth Hill, Sophie Burroughs, and Levi Burroughs. Memorial services for Bette J. Parent were held at 10:00 a.m. on June 15, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery.
