Funeral services for Bessie Pearl Vernon, 78, of Henderson will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview. Burial will be in Hallsville Cemetery. She passed away Friday, February 10, in Henderson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vernon was born August 13, 1927 in Columbia, Texas to Jessie and Maud Drisscoll. She was a former resident of Longview, and moved back to Longview in 2004 and was a former longtime resident of Wills Point, TX. She was a retired cashier and waitress and was a former member of The Rebecca Lodge in Tawakonia, TX. Mrs. Vernon was a Baptist.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Tracy Tinkle of Gary, TX, Linda Vernon of Mt. Enterprise, TX, Nancy and Bob Ross of Fayetteville, GA, Viola and Benny Coon of Wills Point, TX, Joeanna Dawson of Terrell, TX, and Sally and Scott Greer of Longview; brothers, Donald Drisscoll of Groesbeck, TX, and David Drisscoll of Houston; sister, Betty Bozalina of Houston; 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.
