Bert John Jackson, Jr.'s Obituary
Bert John BJ Jackson, Jr., 82, of White Oak, passed away at his residence on March 27, 2010. Mr. Jackson was born February 11, 1928 in Texarkana, Texas, to Bert John and Lilly Shaver Jackson.
Bert was the retired owner and operator of Jackson Music and Cigarette Company. He served his country in the US Army Air Corp. Mr. Jackson enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Maxine Lacy Jackson of White Oak, children, Perry Jackson and wife Sharon of Baldwinsville, NY, Jerry Jackson and wife Rita of Longview, Celia Taylor and husband Mark of Lake Cherokee, Bert John BJ Jackson, III of White Oak, grandchildren, Christy McGee, Shannon Tatum, Jon Jackson, P. J. Jackson, Mark Jackson and Jana Watson and 8 great grandchildren.
Mr. Jackson wished to be cremated and the family is following those wishes. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
