Bersie G. Walton's Obituary
Funeral services for Bersie G. Walton, 78, of Longview, will be 10 AM Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Hope Community Church, 1105 Lake Drive, with Reverends Bobby Blaylock and Chris Hill officiating.
Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Walton passed away Wednesday afternoon at a local medical center.
Bersie was born December 19, 1925 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Solomon and Martha Banks. She had been a resident of Longview since 1950 coming from Corpus Christi and Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Mrs. Walton was the owner of an arts and crafts business, a teacher, a homemaker and member of the Hope Community Church.
Bersie was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Walton, Jr. and grandson, Blake Everett.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Floyd A. ?Sonny? and Polly Walton of Arlington, TX, Marvin Lee and Judy Walton of Diana; daughter and husband, Linda and Kenneth Everett of Diana; adopted son and daughter-in-law, Jim Bob and Pam Crump of Union Grove; ten grandchildren and brother, John Murphy of Freemont, CA.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to Hope Community Church, 1105 Lake Drive, Longview, Texas 75601.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday evening, from 6-8 PM.
