Bernice Wright's Obituary
On Sunday, December 8, 2019 Bernice Tew Wright, spread her heavenly wings and went home. She now resides with our heavenly father and her husband of 69 years. Bernice passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Lisa in Henderson, Texas with her son Keith and other family members at her side.
Born on December 2, 1929 Bernice was preceded in death her parents: Allen and Hazel Tew of Carthage, Texas and two brothers: Ray and Felton Tew. Bernice was also preceded just a short time by the love of her life, her husband James Bobby Wright (J.B.) who passed on September 29, 2019.
If you want to hear a true love story just talk to the kids and grandkids. Bernice and Bobby were married in a double wedding ceremony on June 9, 1950 with their very best friends Britt and Jackie Meek. Never once did their love waver. It only grew stronger as the years flew by. The dynamic four are forever together again.
Bernice is survived by her two children: Bobby Keith Wright (wife-Wanda), Lisa Karen Wright Parault (husband - Alver Ray). Four Grandchildren; Teresa Wright Blom (husband - David), Justin Tabor (wife - Allie), Bobby Christopher Wright, and Tiffany Parault Allen ( husband - Daniel). She also left behind to cherish her memory ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and loads of cousins and friends.
Bernice retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company as an operator. She was a working mom who doted on her two children and spent her retirement passing that devotion onto her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to laugh and always had to be watching out for the children if they were playing outdoors. Even in her last days she loved to watch the kids play, she loved to laugh, she loved Christmas and she loved flowers.
Her loving smile and ringing laughter will be dearly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her granddaughter Tiffany Allen who was her lead caregiver for eight years, They would also like to say thank you to Traditions Health represented by Michelle and Merissa.
