Hedy Bernice Smith
She was born in the small west Texas town of Littlefield, and depending on who you ask as to when…the federal government, or all of her family April 10, 1940 to us, and to the federal government March 10, 1940. Didn’t know that until a few years ago.
She had two older brothers, Norman and Bobby Kincaid. They all grew up together in Littlefield, and they were very close. To me They were like the three musketeers… ”All for one, and one for all”. And they were like that even in their elder years. Them brothers loved their sis. And she loved them, and missed them dearly until a few days ago.
She married my dad James Fenis Smith November 24, 1957 at the youthful age of 17. She was with him until his death, She stayed by his side through his battle with illness until he passed in 2001.
She had four kids, Cecil Smith, Teresa Phillips, myself Jon Smith and Melesa Prado. Seven grandchildren, Jeffery, Amanda, Sue-j, Jacob, James, La’Nee, and Angel Beth. Fourteen great grandchildren. Loved them all.
She had many nephews and nieces, to name a few, Robin, Robert, Dennis, Lori Ann, Tonya, Leslie, Christina, She was close to all of them and loved them as if they were her own.
She had more friends than you could count. Close friends Mary, Vickie, Kenny, Vanessa, Diane and many more.
She will be missed dearly.
