Funeral services for Bennie Jean McMichael, 69, of Lake Cherokee, will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 3, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will be 1 PM Sunday, August 4, 2002 at Sealy Cemetery in Sealy, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM this evening at the funeral home. She was born on January 5, 1932 in Columbus, Texas to Bennie and Vera Smith. She passed away on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2002 in a Houston hospital. She moved to Longview in 1975 where she was a homemaker.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. McMichael is survived by, her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Michelle McMichael of Houston, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jerry Miller of Katy, brother, John Leon Smith of Raymonsville, Texas, and grandchildren, Cody James McMichael, Haley Nichole McMichael, Chelsea Lynn Miller, Mark Allen, and Shelby Allen.
