Benjamin Anglo Tanuyan's Obituary
Funeral services for Benjamin Tanuyan, 73, will be held at the Longview Baptist Temple on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10 am with Pastor Bob Gray II officiating; a visitation will be held the hour prior to the service. Mr. Tanuyan went to be with the Lord in the early hours of Monday, January 23, 2017.
Benjamin was born on August 12, 1943 to Gabriel and Severina Tanuyan in the Philippines. Always being one who treasured hard work and dedication, while in the Philippines Benjamin was able to achieve a Bachelors degree, and passed on his work ethic to his children, encouraging them to live up to the his life’s verse from Philippians 4:13, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength”. In addition to being a hard worker, he also had a energy for the Lord; making multiple mission trips back to his home, and making sure that his people in the Philippines heard the good news of Jesus Christ.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Severina; as well as his brothers, Reynaldo and Antonio Tanuyan. Those left here to cherish their memories of Benjamin include his wife of 40 years, Meliza Tanuyan; his children, Maria Victoria Tanuyan, Cleofe Ryser, Emmanuel Tanuyan, George Tanuyan, and Jonathan Tanuyan; 6 grandchildren; as well as 3 brothers and 1 sister and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Longview Baptist Temple-Missions Department.
