Benjamin A. Warlick's Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. B.A. ?Jack? Warlick, age 90 of Henderson, will be held Thursday October 29, 2009 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Henderson with the Rev. Bill Kuykendall and Rev. Johnny Wright officiating. Masonic graveside rites will follow at the Danville Cemetery in Kilgore.
Mr. Warlick died Saturday October 24, 2009 in a local nursing facility.
Jack Warlick was born May 27, 1919 in Gregg County, he was a 1939 graduate of Sabine High School, and was a member of the first Sabine Cardinal Football team. He was a Methodist and had retired from Mobil Oil Company after 35 years of service. He was a 50 year member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge #23 Endowed Chapter & Council Royal & Select Masters. A member of the Kilgore Commandory #104 K.T. , member of Waco Scottish Rite Endowed, Rusk County Scottish Rite Club, Sharon Shrine Temple, Henderson Chapter 597 Order of the Eastern Star, Troup Chapter 421 OES Endowed,
El Ekam #269 DOKK. He was a 50 year member of the Knights of Pythias, Longview #26, Henderson Chapter 361 Royal Arch Masons, Henderson Council 298 Royal and Select Masons.
He was preceded in death by his father & mother Thomas Henry & Sara Ella McVay Warlick, brother Harry Warlick, sisters Lela Stone Cook, Pansy Woodall Bishop, Ethel Stone, Cleo Wren and granddaughter Sandra Fannin.
Mr. Warlick is survived by his wife Betty J. Morris Howeth Warlick of Henderson, son Arthur ?Sonny? Warlick and wife Marlene of Phoenix, Arizona, step-daughter Lawana J. Jones and husband Marvin of Henderson, step-son Steven L. Howeth and wife Patty of Cameron, Texas, granddaughters Jennifer Schultz and husband Brad of Phoenix, Arizona, Susie Burgess of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson Gary Warlick and wife Ann of Bartlesville, OK; step-granddaughters Nikkie Walthal and husband Jay, Kellyn Smith and husband Bill and Kacey Howeth; step grandsons Matt Jones and Jessie Howeth. Several great grandchildren. Brother Leo Warlick and wife Evelyn of Liberty City, Texas and several close nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Pallbearers will be Mike Warlick, Bill Warlick, Lawrence Morris, Don Morris, Matt Jones, and Jessie Howeth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leo Warlick, Elton Woodall.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 5:30 ~ 8:30pm Wednesday.
