Belinda Kay Read, 64, of Longview, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015.
To honor her wishes, a private ceremony will be held by the immediate family.
Kay was born in Malvern, Arkansas. Upon moving to Longview she began a successful career as a Hairstylist and owned a salon in Kilgore for many years. She is survived by her only son, Steven Green and wife Kristine; three granddaughters, Whitney, Averey, and Ally; as well as her, great grandson, Jhett. Kay is also survived by her sisters; Billie Evans, Dana McMullen, Candace Read, Sadra Wright; nephews, Jay and Chris, Shelby and Shannon; niece, Kelsey; great nieces; Ashlynn and Emma; and pet poodle Oliver. Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Read; and nephew, Trey.
Kay Read was loved by many. She was full of life, adventure, and determination. Kay was a dedicated, proud mother, loving grandmother, great grandmother, and a true friend. She spent many of her latter years in Crystal Beach, Texas, where she and her husband, Bill, owned and operated their own business. Kay enjoyed laughing with her girlfriends, being with her grandchildren, and absolutely anything that involved her son, Steven Earl. She will be greatly missed and adored.
