Mrs. Barbara Jean Prince's Obituary
Funeral services for Barbara Prince, 75, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Longview with Bishop Scott Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Enoch Cemetery in Latch, Texas. Mrs. Prince passed away Saturday morning at her home in Longview. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Barbara was born on November 13, 1938 in Wellsville, NY to Vaughn and Frances Payne. She was a wonderful person who loved giving of herself. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and had a special place in her heart for those in need and those enduring pain and suffering. She loved volunteering at the Clairmont where she hosted bingo for the residents. Barbara was an avid artist, painter, a great seamstress, and very accomplished at knitting. One of her greatest joys in life was her grandchildren. She was very active in their lives until the very end. Mrs. Prince will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, David Payne and Vaughn Alonzo Payne Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald Lee Prince of Longview; her children, Sharon Prince of Houston, TX, Paul Prince and wife Belinda of Longview, Suzanne Warren and husband Darby of Longview, David Prince of Jackson, MS, and Jennifer Brinkman and husband Blake of Longview; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Tom Payne of Bolivar, NY, 2 sisters Carol Dauer of Tyler and Nancy Mattox of Longview.
