Barbara was one of the sweetest people I have ever known.We met in Bedford Virginia when Barbara and her sister were visiting for the summer. It was the summer after my Junior year at Liberty HS.We spent the rest of that summer together almost every day.Some people called it a summer of puppy love but I think it was far more than that for both of us.We were just too young to understand!!!We had many sweet talks about marriage that summer.
I sincerely believe if we hadn't lived so far apart both of our lives would have been far different!
Barbara has always had a loving place in my heart.I have always hoped and prayed that Barb had a wonderful life,because she deserved so much!

Dear Chal,
Of course I do not know what to say, I am at at loss of words to express my concern upon learning of Barbara's death. Just know that you're in my prayers. The last time I corresponded with Barbara you two were in Little Rock. I always thought all I needed to do was pick up the phone and call Kay and Les to find ya'll or talk to Connie b/c I knew she kept up with what you two were doing.
You may or may not remember me, my name was Mrilyn Wilson in high school. I married Carl Davis from Longview so you might remember Barbara talking about Marilyn Dvis? We divorced and I moved back to Longview and now am married to Rusty Tucker. Rusty is couple of years younger than us, all this doesn't men crap to you, I know, but I just want to make some kind of connection with you so you know I am one of the mny who are feeling your loss. Rusty and I are Members of Trinity Church, you are blessed to have Kevin speak about Barbara and heaven, I hope you agree with me on that. Barbara Definately had a life to celebrate and most of that happy life was b/c of you.

Chal,
Kay sent the msg to me about Barbara and I am just heart-broken. I have always loved Barbara from our school days through being Dallas buddies in early 70's until now. We were JUST talking about you two and decided that too much time has gone by and that if we beg forgiveness for not keeping in touch, we know Barbara will welcome us with open arms. I have always loved her so much for her sweet smile and wonderful attitude about life in general and how she could always make me laugh. I just can't tell you how sorry I am to hear of this news. I recently lost my husband suddenly during a liver transplant and know how hard it is to have your mate taken without time to really prepare. Please know that you are in my thoughts every day and want to wish you peace of mind. It's hard but don't loose faith. She may be out there watching over you and you wouldn't want to fail her!!
Sincere condolences to you, Clint and Susan. I know you will all miss her desperately. She will always have a special place in my heart.
