This objective was accomplished with President Carter signing legislation declaring ''china painting'' as a fine art in 1979.
She was a founding and charter member of International Porcelain Arts. Later, recording secretary and the presidential position were both held by her which required speaking engagements throughout the world. Barbara was a founding member of Century II Porcelain Arts Club of Longview, and helped organize the Museum of Porcelain Arts in Dallas. Honoring her requests, Memorials may be made to: International Porcelain Arts Museum, P.O. BOX 1807, Grapevine, Texas 76099.
She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie H. and Marion Jo Jones, and grandson, J Harlow Jones, all of Pittsburg, Texas.
