Barbara Milliorn Slaback Goetzman
Funeral services for Barbara Milliorn Slaback Goetzman are scheduled at Oakland Heights Baptist Church on Wednesday June 29, 2005 at Ten O?clock AM with Reverend Tom Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Goetzman passed away June 26, 2005 in Longview.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Slaback, in 1977 and by her second husband; Rudy Goetzman in 1997.Mrs. Goetzman was a certified Texas Assessor and a Registered Professional Assessor. Mrs. Goetzman retired from the City of Longview Tax Department. She was past President, Longview Business and Professional Women 1973-1974. Woman of the Year 1974-1975, Longview Business and Professional Woman , Secretary 4 years International Brotherhood Electrical Workers Retired Club, and President 4 years, International Brotherhood Electrical Retired Workers Club.
Mrs. Goetzman was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church and the Love Sunday School class where served as substitute teacher.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, J.B. Jr. and Mary Louise Milliorn of Dallas, TX.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddy and Jo Cathy Slaback of Pearland, TX.; Larry and Carol Slaback of Longview, TX.; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Wayne Efurd of Longview, TX.; five granddaughters, Catherine, Amy, Rebecca and Michelle Slaback and Allison Efurd, one step-daughter, Dona Goetzman of Sunnyvale, TX.; step-grandchild, Vicky Staton, two step grandchildren, Nicholas Turner and Brett Clark
Pallbearers are nephews, Mark, David and Scott Milliorn, Alan Adams, Mike Sperling and Tim Martinelli.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday June 28, 2005 from 6pm until 8 pm.
