Barbara Craver Garcia's Obituary
Funeral services for Barbara Craver Garcia, 87 of Rowlett, Texas will be at 11 am Friday, March 14th, 2025 at Radar Funeral Home in Longview Texas, with Reverend James Craver officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery of Longview. Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Radar Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.
Ms. Garcia died Saturday, March 8th at the age of 87.
She was born on June 8, 1937 in Greggton, Texas. She graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1956. She then graduated from Texas Eastern School of Nursing, receiving her R.N degree in 1959. She was a RN in Longview, Tx and the surrounding East Texas community for over 45 years. She was a Director of Nurses with Texas Home Health of Longview until retirement. She was so proud of being a nurse and would tell everyone she met. She attended Camille Acres Baptist Church while living in Longview. She lived in Longview, TX until 2010 when she moved to Rowlett, Tx to be closer to family. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Texas Ranger and Dallas Maverick fan.
She is survived by her 3 daughters-Cindy Hipps and husband, Michael Hipps of Rowlett, Texas, Carla Kubin and husband, David Kubin of Houston, TX and Chris Jackson and husband, Robbie Jackson of Rowlett, Tx. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren-Kris Kubin and wife Haley Kubin, Alyssa Seaton and husband, Curtis Seaton, Blake Kubin and fiancé, Abbey Giddens, Kennedie Jackson, McKenlie Jackson and 2 great-grandchildren-Savannah Seaton and Sage Kubin. She is also survived by her brother, Rev. James Craver and wife Rhonda Craver of Lake Worth, Tx. along with numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Rufus Leonard Craver and Birdie Beatrice Spence Craver; four brothers, Homer Craver, Tommy Joe Craver, Kenneth Craver, Robert Craver and 3 sisters Lucille Davis, Johnnie Faye Collins, and Jean Shavor.
