Barbara Fay Middleton's Obituary
Barbara Fay Middleton, 78, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2011 at her home in Longview, Texas. Her family remembers her as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Barbara was born on May 10, 1932 to Walter and Alice McCrae. She grew up in Bossier City LA. with her two sisters Doris and Ruth. Barbara and John "Bobby" Middleton married on April 22, 1951 in Bossier City, LA. They had three children John Robert Jr., Walter and Sharon. The couple moved from Bossier City to Longview in 1963. She worked alongside her husband and family at the Army Navy Store in Longview for 30 years. Barbara and her husband loved traveling throughout the United States in their motor home. She also enjoyed spending time tending flowers and plants in her beautiful yard. Barbara was a long-time member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
Barbara is survived by husband John, her sisters Doris Warren of Shreveport, LA. and Ruth Leggett and her husband Burt of Eureka Springs, AR., her son Walter and his wife Kim, her daughter Sharon Schwaderer and her husband Don. She has five grandchildren Brandon Middleton and his wife Libby, Miranda Middleton, Ashley Schwaderer, Avery Schwaderer and Aaron Schwaderer. She has two great-grandchildren Audrey Middleton and Rachel Middleton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alice, and an infant child John Robert Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Pastor Kevin Bright officiating. Mausoleum entombment will follow in Rosewood Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
