Barbara Cleveland Dendy's Obituary
Barbara Cleveland Dendy departed this earth after battling ovarian cancer for more than six years. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Her dignity and grace during the final months of her affliction was truly inspiring. She now rests in the arms of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Barbara graduated from Hallsville High School and earned an Associates Degree from Kilgore Junior College. She resided and worked in many different parts of Texas: Austin, Big Spring, Bryan/College Station, Houston, Longview, and Nacogdoches; living in Frisco for the past 20 years.
Barbara was predeceased by: her parents E.O. "Tud" and Virginia Cleveland; her son Troy Page; and her brother Donald Cleveland. Barbara will be laid to rest alongside her family in Hallsville Cemetery.
She is survived by: her husband Allen Dendy; her daughter Becky Page; her sister Liz Cogburn; her step-daughters Adria Longmire and Erica Keithly; her step-grandchildren Andrew and Bethany Keithly; and many nephews/nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
If you were among Barbara's large circle of acquaintances and friends, you were lucky indeed to share her love for life. And if you were one of her good friends, you had a friend for life who would listen when you spoke and understand your needs. She was quick to laugh, yet she could be serious when circumstances warranted. She was the glue that kept her family together, especially during the holidays.
Death cannot diminish Barbara's light. It will live forever in the memories of all those who knew and loved her.
