Barbara Gayle Cooper's Obituary
Barbara Gayle Cooper, 90, of Longview, Texas passed away peacefully September 2, 2025.
Born in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana on January 10, 1935, Barbara was a homemaker and raised her family. When her husband, James C. “Buddy” Cooper passed away, she moved to Longview. She enjoyed making new friends, and playing Bingo, Dominoes, and Wheel of Fortune at Colonial Village. She especially enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles with caregiver, Margaret Chatman.
She is survived by her children, Robin and Ron Walden, Dave Cooper, and Paul and Patricia Cooper; her grandchildren, April Hansard, Dustin and Nicole Walden, Hannah Davey, Kristen and Eason Campbell, Derek and Madeline Cooper, and Ayden Cooper; her great grandchildren, Gavin Hansard, Tyler Hansard, Orion Neace, Scarlet Campbell, and EJ Campbell. She is also survived by sister, Dwanna Dorsey and brother and sister-in-law, Ozzie and Vicki Osborn. She is preceded in death by her husband and son, Steve Cooper.
Visitation with family will take place at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas, on September 5, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on September 6, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM.
