Jeff, Laurie and all of Aunt Barb's family, we are saddened by her passing and pray for God's peace and strength for you during this emotional time. Certainly it's a mournful occasion, but as you talk and share stories, there's no doubt you'll find plenty of happy memories that'll make you smile and laugh. Aunt Barb was always good-natured, loving, kind, and compassionate. She had a spirit of optimism and always put others, especially her family, above herself. And of course, the educator in her was ever ready for a good discussion or debate. We are sorry we aren't able to attend but we will be remembering her in our hearts and thinking of you during this difficult time.
God bless,
Brad, Jenny, & Braelyn
Barbara was a childhood friend, all the way through high school, and then we were college room mates. So sorry that we lost touch years ago. Sweet memories! Rest in peace, sweet lady.
Mrs. Alexander was a consistently excellent English teacher. I learned to diagram sentences and read some great literature in her test. Our Spring Hill senior class of 1976 actually had her all four years of high school, because she started as freshman and sophomore English teacher, and just after we became juniors, Mrs. Green changed assignments and Mrs. Alexander moved up to meet us! I found Mrs. Alexander had a sense of humor. I would write some pretty goofy sentences when doing certain assignments, and as long as they were grammatically correct, she accepted them, but she enjoyed writing funny comments as well! Prayers for her family, friends, and many students who are grieving.
Always loved Mrs. Alexander! I nicked named her “Poopsie” and she allowed only me to call her that during my JR. & Sr. Years. She thought me a lot about English. My condolences go out to her family.
I have sweet memories of my sister-in-law, Gayle. She was devoted to her family, and especially to Joe. I am sorry we cannot be there for the funeral but we send our love and sympathy to Laurie, Jeff, and all the family. May God give you peace and comfort during this time of sorrow. --Doris and Dick
