A.W. Weldon, Bud Webb's Obituary
A.W. Weldon, Bud Webb was born in 1922 in Mt. Enterprise , Tx and passed away on March 15, 2012 in Sugarland , Tx . He was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a resident of Henderson since 1959 and of Sugarland , Tx for the past three years.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Annie Belle Threadgill Webb and daughter Connie Harmon and husband John of Sugarland, Kathy Webb of Carrollton, and Pat Webb and wife Peggy of The Villages, Florida; also three brothers, John, Sonny and Charles and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A. W. was in the five and dime retail business before he retired and worked for the Henderson school district after that. He was 89 years old, flew B-17s over Europe during World War II and a member of "The Greatest Generation".
A faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson, Mr. Webb found great joy in reading his Bible, traveling in his motor home with the Good Sam Club, and visiting with his many grandkids and great-grandkids.
Friends will remember him for his encouraging and positive personality, good sense of humor, and for being a source of strength and support.
He was a great husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a friend to all, and will be greatly missed.
The family will meet friends at the at the Rader Funeral home on Sunday, March 18 from 2-5 PM.
Services celebrating Mr. Webb's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 19 at the funeral home in Henderson.
Burial will follow in Old Shiloh Cemetery in Minden , Tx.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Denzel Mobbs, Jimmy Patrick, Laverne Roper, and Joe Hildebrand.

The family will be in Henderson to receive visitors on Saturday through Monday and can be contacted through the Rader Funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, gifts to The American Lung Association or the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
