Funeral services for Ava Brownlee Van Bramer, 85, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Longview with the Reverend Steve Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa, TX., Friday, Sept. 3. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She died Monday, August 30, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Van Bramer was born January 5, 1919 in Nimrod, TX., and had been a resident Longview for the past 3 ½ years, moving from Odessa. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Longview.
Mrs. Van Bramer was preceded in death by her first husband, C. F. Brownlee in 1979, and her husband Roger Van Bramer in 2000.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Cindi Brownlee of Boulder, Co. and Don and Pat Brownlee of Hallsville; grandchildren, Jeff Brownlee and his wife Karyn of Coppell, TX., and Jenny Beaty and her husband Kevin of Longview; great grandchildren, Aimee, Beau, Blake, Bradley, and Blaire Brownlee; brother and sisters-in-law, W. H. Munn and his wife Troy and Ruth Munn, all of Odessa; step-son, David Van Bramer and his wife Kay of Pow, TX.; step-daughters, Comilla Thompson of Houston and Jo Rita Olliff of Odessa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
