Austin Rose Wigington's Obituary
Austin Rose Wigington went to her heavenly home on January 15, 2016 while in the arms of her family. She was born at Christus Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana at 8:37 a.m. and welcomed by Jesus at 9:49 a.m. She entered the world weighing 3 pounds and 12 ounces and was 14 and a half inches long. Austin was the treasured daughter of Jacob and Kelsey Wigington and the beloved sister of Layne and Charlie. Her life was brief and will live on through the gift of organ and tissue donation. During her life, Austin was baptized and experienced hugs, kisses, and snuggles.
Austin was preceded in death by her great-grandma, Alva Wilcox; her grandpa, Charlie Hughes; and her sibling Brantley Jean Wigington. Austin is survived by her parents, Jacob and Kelsey Wigington of Marshall, Texas; two siblings, William Layne and Charlie Emma Wigington; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and great-grandparents.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on January 22, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Austin Rose Wigington to Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency online at lopa.org or by mail 3545 N. I-10 Service Road, Metairie, Louisiana 70002.
