Earl Mock's Obituary
Funeral services for Audry Earl Mock, 89, of Longview will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Reverend Scott Schulik officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Mock passed away on August 13, 2017 in Longview, after a long term illness. He was born on April 30, 1928 in Troup Texas. Earl served 9 years in the Merchant Marines and later in the Army. He was employed and retired from Texas Eastman Company. He spent much of his time enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, and especially gardening. Earl was a long time member of Mobberly Baptist Church, where he served as a greeter, director of Open Door Bible Class, and usher in Worship Services. He always had a big smile and lots of hugs at the front door every Sunday morning.
Mr. Mock was preceded in death by his parents, Phina and Walter Mock; four brothers, four sisters and wife, Elizabeth Mock.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Eva Jamieson Mock; his son, Mike Mock of Kingwood, Texas; Jacque Doss and husband Ronald of Longview, Tim Jamieson and wife Lisa of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren Chance, Chase, and Trevor Mock, Jennifer Sides, Julie Headrick, Lauren Jamieson, Alicia Vogel, Samantha Jamieson; and 8 great grandchildren that he loved and always welcomed with hugs and kisses.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Mobberly Baptist Church.
