Ashley P. Rawls' Obituary
Services for Ashley P. Rawls, 69, of Longview will be at 9 AM Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend Bob White officiating. Burial will be at 1 PM Wednesday at Holly Springs Cemetery in Martin, LA. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home. Mr. Rawls died on Sunday morning at his residence.
Ashley P. Rawls was born on February 19, 1935 to Homer and Chloe Rawls in Coushatta, LA. He lived in Louisiana for many years before moving to Longview 38 years ago. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for many years and he served during the Korean War. He was retired from TXU after 21 years as a service man. Mr. Rawls was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Mr. Rawls is survived by his wife of 38 years Mary Branch Rawls; children Kim Campbell, Rod Rawls, Teri Rawls, Chris Rawls, Diana Rider, Mike McCollum, and Carol Garland; sisters and brother-in-law, Nina Franklin, and R.W. and Billie Jean McGraw; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
