Memorial Services for Arthur Myron Clendenin, Jr., 79, of Gladewater will be 11 am Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1st Presbyterian Church, Longview. He was born March 16, 1934 in Detroit MI and passed away September 17, 2013 in L Read Obituary
My utmost condolences go out to the family of Mr. Clendenin. How comforting it is to know that your dear loved one has the wonderful privilege of resuming life again free from all causes of sicknesses, pain and suffering that sometimes ends in death. If you find the time please read Revelation 21:4.

Casey and I are thinking of you and your family. I only got to know him in the last couple of years, and wish that I had known him better. I will miss passing the peace with him on Sunday morning. He was a loved member of our church family.
I, too, remember his mother from our P.E.O. Sisterhood and wish I had made that connection sooner. What a dear, kind man he was, and he will be missed.

I came to know this wonderful man at First Presbyterian Church, Longview. Being in the choir you have that "view" of who's here. He and Judy sat very close in and always had that joyful smile for the morning worship service. I tried to speak to them on a regular basis and cheer him on when he had his most recent surgery. We served together on the finance committee and his wisdom was golden, age old expertise that I listened to with a keen ear. He was surprised last year when I recounted knowing his mother, Dorothy, who was a very dear member of P.E.O. Sisterhood , Chapter FN. I will miss him. He will remain with me in my heart forever. NR

So sad to hear the news of Art's passing. Memories immediately came to mind when Art & I worked together at Christ Presbyterian here in Toledo. I was the financial secretary back then and Art the treasurer. We spent a lot of time on the phone & got to know each other very well. I know he thought the world of his family and was very proud of them. He also only wanted the best for his church. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during these coming weeks and months.
