Arnold Ray Casey's Obituary
Services for Arnold Ray Casey, 69, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon Monday, August 4, 2008 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church with Brother Ronnie Starr officiating. Burial will be at 4 PM in Sacul Cemetery in Cushing, Texas. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Casey passed away Friday morning. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Arnold was born on February 21, 1939 in Marlin, Texas to Simon and Roberta Casey. He has been in the Longview community since 1973 moving here from Channelview, Texas. He was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church and the owner of Arnold R. Casey's Welding Service. During Mr. Casey's welding career, he fabricated and built countless things in the city of Longview including the arches at Alley Fest and he helped with the construction of Texas Bank and Trust on McCann Road.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lynda Williamson of Longview.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Renea Farley and her husband Steve of Longview, Kim Shretter of Houston, and Derrall Ahart of Houston; former wife and friend, Gwen Casey of Longview; grandchildren, Dustin Farley, Sara Farley, Ian Mooney, Kalen Ahart, and Lou Shretter; brothers and sisters, Herbert Casey of Cushing, Barbara Brooks of Cushing, Juanita Anderson of Cushing, and Robert Casey of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
