Arleta Skinner's Obituary
Funeral services for Arleta Skinner, 89, of Longview, will be 2 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview, with Reverend Fred Niles officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, Wednesday from 6 to 7 PM.
Arleta Skinner was born on December 5, 1915 and went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2005. She was born in Hopkins County to John and Leola Whatley. Arleta married Lloyd Skinner and came to Longview in 1931 to work and raise a family. Throughout their lives they started many businesses including Skinner?s Grocery on Judson Road.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, her son Billy, and 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are sons and daughters in law: Arnold and Laura Skinner, Jerry and Betty Skinner, Charles and Gwen Skinner, Michael and Eddice Skinner; daughter in law: Myrtle Skinner; 11 grandchildren, Julia Skinner, Becky Skinner, Brenda Skinner, Kim Alexander, Deanna Guarisco, Vicki Shook, Olivia Gideon, Scott Skinner, Todd Skinner, Curt Skinner and Stephen Skinner and numerous great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Stephen Skinner, Todd Skinner, Curt Skinner, Scott Skinner, Rai Gideon and Jeff Shook.
