Anthony Rosevelt Hereford's Obituary
Anthony Rosevelt Hereford, 67, of Longview, formerly of Dallas, passed away Wednesday evening in a local hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, July 19, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Longview. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:30 until 11 AM at St. Mary's and a Rosary will be recited at 11AM prior to the Mass. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Anthony was a dearest brother, friend, and companion. He was born in Dallas, TX on Oct. 16, 1942 to Frank and Pauline Hereford. He has been a resident of Longview for the past 15 yrs. Anthony was a retired accountant and received his B.A. from North Texas State University.
Those left to cherish his memory are his best friend and soul mate, Kathleen Birlew; brothers, John Hereford and wife Daphne, and William Hereford and wife Yolanda; sisters, Sister Teresa Hereford, Mary Schmidt and husband Don, and Karen Koller and husband Jerry; brother-in-law, Troy Bene; sisters-in-law, Olga Hereford and Pat Hereford; many nieces, nephews and friends, especially his fellow residents at Eden Place where he was currently residing.
Anthony was a kind and gentle soul, who loved many and was loved in return. The most frequent comment about him was that "he was a true gentleman"even though he was a fierce competitor at any board or card game. May the good Lord welcome you to your new home Anthony, we will all truly miss you.
