Annie Ruth Hawkins' Obituary
Annie Ruth Hawkins passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2016, in Pittsburg, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation and viewing in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Sunday, December 4, from 1-2:30 PM. Following the visitation, a memorial service, conducted by the family, will be held at 3 PM at Oakland Heights Baptist Church with Dr. John Hatch officiating.
Annie was born in Longview, Texas, on October 7, 1996. She is survived by her parents, David and Lisa Hawkins; her three siblings, David R. Hawkins, II, Rachel Smith, and Mary Hawkins; and her grandmother, Jackie Hawkins of Pittsburg, Texas. She also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Phillip Hawkins and William J. Aaberg, and grandmother, Jacqueline Aaberg.
Annie was a talented artist, writer, and graduated with Honors from Longview High School and went on to Texas Tech University. Annie loved the hospitality industry. She was working at Oak Forest Country Club before she died where she was beginning to enjoy playing Golf. Annie was an avid outdoors person who loved camping and hiking.
Annie was a blessing not only to her parents, but to everyone she met. Her life was too short, but those who were touched by her unconditional love will always cherish her memory. Her beautiful and radiant smile brightened the lives of her family and friends. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Annie’s favorite charity, the Dream Center, 803, Gilmer Road, Longview, Texas 75604.
