Services for Anneke Hill, 67, of Longview, will be at 2 PM, Friday September 25, 2009, at Chapel of Rader Funeral Home, Longview with Pastor Jack Hicks officiating. Anneke passed away Monday, September 21, 2009, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
Anneke was born Johanna Catherina Prins on May 3, 1942, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Gerrit and Li Prins. She was retired from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in California.
Carrying on Anneke?s legacy are her loving husband of 45 years, Thomas Hill; son Guy Hill of Lakewood, California; son Gary Hill of Ft. Worth, Texas; and son Patrick Hill of Longview, Texas. Anneke?s grandchildren include Katrina Salmon, Jaymes Salmon, Gary Hill Jr., Michael Hill, Christopher Hill, Patrick Hill Jr., Aiden Hill, and Matthew Hill. Anneke also leaves behind siblings Margaret Claas, Ellen Amos and John Prins.
Anneke made the decision to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed teaching and participating in line-dancing with her many line-dancing friends. Anneke?s new found pastime was staying in touch with family and friends, old and new, on Facebook. Anneke or ?Oma? found her happy-place whenever the house was filled with her children and grandchildren. Anneke?s pride for her family was always evident as she spoke her love language of affirmation. Anneke touched hearts and lives and will always be remembered as the sweet, beautiful woman with the Dutch accent, who left her mark on this world.
Jesus, she was always yours and we are blessed and thankful that you shared her with us. Mom, wij zullen altijd van je houden.
