Anne Hines' Obituary
Emma Anne Rucker Hines, known to friends and family as Anne or Grannie, went home to be with the Lord February 10, 2026, just shy of 91 years of age.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband Lee Hines, parents Jewell and Curtis Rucker, and daughter Darlene Kirk.
Anne is survived by son-in-law Eddie Kirk, daughter Dee Anne McCrary and husband Kevin; grandchildren Lamar Kirk and wife Jennifer, David Kirk, John Kirk and wife Brittany and Kristen Rollins and husband Alex; great-grandchildren, Landrie Kirk, Karsyn Kirk, Ryan Kirk, Hank Kirk and Riley Rollins; sisters Jo Fisher and Sue Powell; and many beloved family and friends.
Born March 7, 1935 in Russellville, Alabama, Anne’s family moved to San Antonio, Texas where she graduated from Thomas Edison High School and then attended Abilene Christian College.
Her primary profession was a legal secretary, and she was also well known as a skilled artist. Her beautiful rose paintings filled her home, and she loved sharing her paintings with family and friends.
Anne married her beloved Lee Hines on Valentine’s Day in 1991, and they rededicated their lives to the Lord. They became full time RVers, working with Christian Benevolence Ministries throughout the US, including the inner city of Los Angeles, California. They moved to Cleveland, Tennessee in 1997 to attend Lee University Bible College, and then to Longview in 2005, serving in the benevolence and prayer ministries at Mobberly Baptist Church.
In the years since Lee’s death in 2015, Anne was a committed intercessory prayer warrior. Her nightly prayer list consisted of multiple pages, and she was faithful to pray continually for anyone who asked. Once you were on her prayer list, you were on it forever!
Above all, Anne loved Jesus and wanted to tell anyone and everyone about Him. Her greatest legacy is her love for the Lord and sharing the gospel.
Through the years Anne and Lee mentored many spiritual sons and daughters, among them Assen Christov, his wife Violet and their daughter Estir, while Assen was attending Lee University School of Theology in Cleveland. Assen and his family returned to Bulgaria where he is a church pastor and planter to the Roma Gypsies.

A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 am in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation preceding at 10:00 am.
Interment will take place at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with Lee.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Arabella Assisted Living, Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center, and Heart to Heart Hospice for their tender care of Anne.
