Anne Marie Channel's Obituary
Anne Marie (Ree) Channel died peacefully the early morning of July 30, 2024. Born in Parma, Ohio, Ree spent her middle school and high school years in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Presentation Academy in 1973 and studied accounting at Bellarmine University.
Anne Marie married the love of her life, Don Channel, May 15, 1976. Throughout their nearly fifty-year marriage the couple resided in Louisiana, Tennessee, and finally Texas. While working full-time, Ree completed a Bachelors and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University in Human Resources.
Anne Marie was one of very few spouses to receive a Certificate from the United States Air Force for her unselfish, devoted service and support of her spouse throughout his commission. It is a rare achievement that was/is treasured by both Anne Marie and Don.
She is survived by her husband Don Channel, her siblings, Catherine Jessel-Huelsman (Alan), Edward J. Jessel III ( Sally), and John R. Jessel (Barbara); her nieces and nephews, and many cousins in Cleveland and Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann Janov Jessel and Edward J. Jessel, her brothers Joseph Mark Jessel, and David Allen Jessel.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home at 2:00 PM.
