Funeral services for Anna Marie Peterson, 92, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Tim Lindsay officiating. Interment will be in Cook-Walden Memorial Parks Cemetery in Austin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 7. She passed away Thursday, January 2, in Longview.
Mrs. Peterson was born November 29, 1921 in Verona, MO to Shuld and Ella Peterson. She was a retired secretary and librarian. She was a longtime member of Valley View Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, a Vacation Bible School Teacher, and a member of the choir. She volunteered at Buckner Benevolence for 10 years. Mrs. Peterson was very thrifty. She loved gardening and cooking, especially Swedish Bread and Swedish Pan Cakes.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Oliver “Pete” Peterson; grandson, Brian Barton; son-in-law, James Mosher; and sister, Loraine Fritz.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Mosher McAlister and husband Nathan of Longview, Ron Peterson and wife Judy of Edmond, OK, Karen Peterson Barton and husband James of Georgetown, TX and Tim Peterson and wife Kim of Texaco, NM; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friends, Louise and Bill Carpenter of Bradley, AR.
