Anna Elizabeth Callahan's Obituary
ANNA ELIZABETH KUYKENDALL CALLAHAN
Anna Beth Mee-maw was born June 30, 1926 to Sarah Elizabeth Graves and Scott Kuykendall at Rosborough Springs, TX. She attended Longview public schools and on June 30, 1946 she married Marlin Cole Callahan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Bessie Graves Kuykendall and by her husband Marlin Callahan. She put up a long and valiant fight with heart disease. Anna Beth
Died peacefully at home with Dianna, Terry and Mr. Inos by her side.
Anna Beth was a longtime resident of the Gum Springs community and member of the Gum Springs Christian Church.
Survivors include her only child, daughter Dianna and her husband Terry Martin of Longview. Mee-ma leaves behind three grand daughters which were her treasures; Michelle and her husband Scott Jones of Longview, Amy and her husband Michael Bird of Yorba Linda, CA, and Nicole and her husband Donnie of Frisco, TX. Her great grandchildren are; Breanna and Meryl Herring, Kayla and Sarah Deane, and Carly, Isaac, Will, and a little girl expected to make her arrival in August. She has three step great grandchildren; Chad, Kristal, and Renee Bird. She also leaves behind an aunt, Mary Graves of Dallas, TX, nephew Martin Callahan and wife Lynda of Longview, TX., and longtime special friend Inos Weaver of Longview, TX along with other relatives and special friends.
Funeral services are under the direction of Radar Funeral Home in the chapel at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 7 with the graveside service immediately following the funeral at the Gum Springs Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Boulter will be officiating at the celebration of her life and at the graveside service.
The family will be receiving friends at Radar Funeral Home the evening of Wednesday, May 6, 6-8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Chris London, Keith Weaver, Bubba Weaver, Roger Kuykendall, Jimmy Wheeler, and Loyd Adkisson.
She loved birds, butterflies, flowers and her special puppy dog, Jack, who stayed faithfully by her side.
Special thanks goes out to Dr. Rodney Slone and his nurse Sydney, Dr. Newkirk and his staff, Dr. Chastain, the staff of Beacon Hospice Nancy and Tasha for their kind and loving care and to Rev. Boulter for his faithful visits and prayers. We will all miss her sweet smile and hugs but know she is now resting in the arms of our heavenly father, suffering no more. God will say to her ?well done, my good and faithful servant?. She knew in her heart that Jesus was indeed the way, the truth, and the light.
