Ann Slough's Obituary
Funeral services for Ann Slough, 64, of Longview, will be 2 PM Wednesday at the Pine Tree Church of Christ with J. Ritchie Hamm officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Fu-neral Home, Longview. The family will greet friends at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
On December 12, 2004, Ann Slough went to be with her Lord. She was born March 18, 1940 to Travis and Irene Gray of Olney, Texas. She graduated from Waco High School, Kilgore College and Stephen F. Austin University with both a bachelor and masters degree. She married Vance Slough on October 18, 1957. She was a member of the Church of Christ and worshipped with the Pine Tree congregation for the last 35 years. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and with her husband worked in the Boys Baseball and Football programs and Boy Scout programs for over 20 years. Traveling in their motor home was a hobby she shared with her family, having traveled to 49 states multiple times, including Hawaii Had to fly. Her greatest love besides the Lord was her family. She is survived by her hus-band of 47 years, Vance Slough; Daughters: Debbie Windsor and husband Butch of Longview and Amy Fleming and husband David of Hawkins, Sons: Scott Slough and wife Pam of Pearland and Roger Slough of Houston; Grandchildren: Valerie and Chris Windsor of Longview, Jared and Austin Fleming of Hawkins and Kylee Slough of Pearland; Brothers: David Gray and wife Nelwyn of Henderson and Jimmy Gray and Miriam Hall of Longview; Great God daughter: Jessie Lucas. Pallbearers will be E. J. Whitton, Tom Parr, Les Wiesner, Maurice Kerr, James Harris, George Hall, Bill Collins and Virgil McDaniel.
