Anita Lefors Evans' Obituary
Anita Mae Lefors Evans, 79, spread her wings to heaven on April 10, 2022, surrounded by loving family.
Anita lived a beautiful, dignified life filled with many wonderful friends. Her children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. She loved her church and her church family. The legacy of Anita’s kind spirit and passion for Christ will live on through them.
Anita was born on February 17, 1943 to John Thomas Lefors and Lula Mae Wingo Lefors in Overton Texas. She grew up in New London, Texas with her parents and four sisters, with whom she was very close.
Anita raised her three children in Longview where she lived her remaining life.
Anita was preceded by death by her parents, John Thomas and Lula Mae Lefors and sisters, Helen Korkmas and Grace Hale.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Cheryl and David Shaw, Tony and Sherrie Evans and Cherie Standridge. Her grandchildren, Jeremy Shaw, Jonathan Shaw, Brandon Standridge, Keely Evans, Faith Standridge, Leslie Standridge and Hayden Evans and 9 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Patsy Dawson and Carol Baccaro.
A celebration of Anita’s life and the love her family has for her is planned. Visitation Thursday, April 14 from 5-7 pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Graveside service will be held Friday, April 15, at 11a.m at Pleasant Hill Cemetery – 6826 State Highway 323 W, Overton, Texas.
