Angie was a caring, generous, loving person. She carried her deepest emotions close to her chest and even though some may not have realized, she loved everyone in her family without reservation. She was content being at home watching classic movies among other things. Angie had many challenges in life of which some seemed insurmountable but she faced them all with extraordinary courage and overcame them…..on her terms. Her final challenge was met with dignity and grace that was admired by many. During the Cowboys / Eagles game on Sunday Nov 19th on top of everything Angie was going through, she was showing signs of coming down with a stomach bug. She said, “If I get sick tell everyone the Cowboys were playing so bad it made me sick.” We should all aspire to have such tenacity in the face of adversity.
Family and friends often called her Mija. I thank God for bringing Angie into my life, for the +39 years we had together and for the wonderful children and grandchildren he blessed us with.
Just like her favorite classic movie, our beautiful Mija is “Gone With The Wind”. She will never be forgotten and will always have a warm place in the hearts of those that truly knew her.
