Andrew "Dean" Rogers' Obituary
Andrew “Dean” Rogers, Age 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 8, 2026. He was born on September 22,1936 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 70 years – Peggy Smith Rogers; Two Sons – Rickey Rogers (Donice), Rodney Rogers (Paula); Three grandchildren – Robbey Rogers, Saralen Rogers, Andy Rogers (Sophie); Three greatgrandchildren – Haley Rogers, Kaydence Rogers, Dean Travis Rogers.
He graduated from Snyder High School in Snyder, Oklahoma in 1955. Deans work career started in 1956 with the Texas Electric Service Company power plant in Wichita Falls, Texas working in the maintenance department. He then went to work at the Texas Electric Service Company in Monahans, Texas before being transferred to the Tufco division in Jacksboro, Texas and then on to the Wills Point, Texas Tufco division until he retired in 1992. In 2014 they moved to Longview to be closer to his family.
His true love was playing bass guitar and singing country music with a lot of different professional bands, being a professional square dance caller, and loved getting together and playing with The Rogers Family Band for special occasions.
He loved God and his family with his whole heart and will be truly missed.
