Andrew E. Druschke's Obituary
Andrew E. Druschke, 77, of Longview went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2009. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 7, 1931.
Services will be held at Summerfield United Methodist Church at 2 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2009, with Reverends Chris Charles and Wendy Zuech officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery. Andrew passed away early Sunday morning at a local hospice. He retired from Kelly-Springfield Tire Company after 31 years.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Margaret Druschke and a sister, Delores McClintock. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley: sons, Cary and Dewayne and his wife Toni Jo; daughters, Andrea Taylor and Angela Brown and her husband Allan; six grandchildren, Thomas and wife Amy, Andrew, Montana and Colt Druschke, Shelby Taylor and Matthew Brown; one great grandchild, Kara; nephew, Sammy McClintock and wife and niece, Darlene McClintock. He also has a number of other nephews, nieces and many friends.
Andy proudly served his country as a member of the Air Police in the US Air Force during the Korean War, much of the time in French Morocco.
He was a long time member of Summerfield United Methodist Church where he served in many ways. He was a faithful volunteer who served at the Longview Community Ministries for ten years and was a blood donor for more than 100 times at Stewart Blood Bank.
The family request that memorials be made to Summerfield United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers.
