Ambrose Coker's Obituary
Ambrose Coker, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2013 in Longview. Visitation will
be from 5 pm-8 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Rader Funeral Home on Judson Road in Longview.
Graveside services will be 2 pm on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Rosewood Cemetery in Longview. Officiating will be his son-in-law, David Henry.
Ambrose was born May 10, 1930 in Howe, Texas to A. F. and Verna Coker.
He grew up in Kilgore where he graduated from Kilgore High School in 1950 and soon enlisted the U. S. Air Force where he honorably served 4 years during the Korean War. He retired from Texas Eastman in 1990 after 36 years. Ambrose was a member of First Baptist Church in Longview.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Molly Coker; daughter, Jane Henry and
her husband David; son, Jeff Coker and his wife DeeAnn; granddaughter Lela Hammons and her husband Chris, his sister Ann Scarborough, 2 step-grandsons Hayden and Jorden
Henry, numerous nieces, nephews and many extended family.
Ambrose was preceded in passing by his parents, A. F. and Verna Coker, his brother Jack
Coker, and his sister Beatrice Coker.
