Alvis A. Smart
Alvis A. Smart, age 88, passed away December 19, 2013 in Longview. He was born April 15, 1925 in Gilmer TX to Clifford and Lola Campbell. “Al” was a proud Army veteran who honorably served our country during WW II. Before moving to Hallsville and Longview, he worked as an insurance adjuster in Muskogee, OK.
“Al” is survived by his five children, 8 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. He shall be greatly missed by his many friends and family. As per his wishes private cremation arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial service, 2 pm, Monday, January 20, 2014 at Hallsville Church of Christ, 110 Waldrons Ferry Road, in honor of “Al”.
Private interment will take place at a later date at Lone Mountain cemetery, Gilmer, Tx.
