Alvin Kenneth Thornton Alvin Kenneth Thornton, 79, of Longview passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at his home in Longview. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Thornton was born February 27, 1929 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was a diesel and automobile mechanic. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne Thornton. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Delores Thornton of Longview; sons, Keith Willis Thornton and wife Stacy of Henderson, and Kim Wendell Thornton of Longview; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and sisters, Winona Fournier of California and Delores Loyd of Nevada.
