My thoughts go to the family of Alvin Davis who I met through work. He was always friendly and courteous as well as curious about the world around him. In the power plant world he was a rare person who literally stood out for his grace and treatment of people. He earned and got respect from many. A privilege to work with him.

Davlyn, I am so sincerely broken hearted. Your man was a genuinely great person. He was funny and sweet. Gene and I saw him recently and it was just like we had been in each other’s lives day to day. We were shocked and saddened.

A few weeks ago I happened to be at Kroger's when I looked up and saw Alvin Davis, one always had to look up. He quickly gave me a hug and asked if I was there with Barbara Duffey... he had seen her earlier in the store.. we have always been family, and we will continue to be so... so very sorry for your loss, so very thankful to have known him...
Davlyn, I just want to express my sincere condolences. This is such painful and shocking news. Alvin was so friendly, giving and loving. I'm so blessed to have sat at his table and enjoy some of his delicious cooking. I truly have thought of you often and love you dearly. Forever in my prayers. Davlyn, I just saw Alvin's obituary and I'm shocked to see your sweet husband has left so soon. He was always so upbeat and uplifting with his wonderful smile when he would come to the LPD where we worked. I could tell he was madly in love with you just by the twinkle in his eyes when he saw you. I think he would have given you the moon if he could. I think of you often and remembering the time you sang that beautiful version of Jesus Loves You. I hadn't heard it before and it bought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart. You have a beautiful voice and giving heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
